Interactive Simulators is the brain child of two San
Francisco Fire Department Suppression Officers. While
studying to take their Lieutenants Test they discovered
the lack of affordable computer software available to
aid them in studying for the fire problem. They put
their heads together and started programming.
ESIS developed the first fire scene simulator that
allowed the users to import their own pictures and place
animated fire and smoke on them making it possible to
practice firefighting tactics using structures that you
will see in your own jurisdiction. Next ESIS
developed the first networked simulation program so that
departments could run simulations over existing networks
allowing companies to stay in service at the firehouse
while training.
As with any original idea the imitators began coming
out of the wood work following the the path of changing
the fire simulation training the ESIS started.
Now ESIS is taking fire scene simulation training to the
next level. We are determined to see that
every firefighter has a personal copy of a fully
functional fire scene simulator. To make sure that
happens we are giving them away free. |
