New Sound Effect/Audio Capabilities
Like other (high dollar) simulator programs, Simulator 6
Expanded has the ability to import sound effects that
can play inside your fire scenes. Effects such as saws,
sirens, crowd noises sounds meant to give an added sense
of realism. Unlike other simulator programs Simulator 6
Expanded has a built in utility program that lets you
record your own sound files. That means that while
you’re building your simulations you can record vital
sound effects such as dispatches, radio updates,
developing situations or even scene descriptions without
having to go to some other program.
Import
Icon/Clip Art for Layering
Simulator 6 Expanded gives you the ability to
import your own icons, symbols, pictures of rigs, etc.
and place them into your fire scenes. Of course you can
adjust/resize these icons to make them fit your scene.
With this feature you can also build layers of objects
in your scenes to give the illusion that fire and smoke
animations are coming from behind some objects in the
scene. We are also throwing a nice library of fire
service related icons to get you started.
Self-Running
Simulations/Slide Show
With Simulator 6 Expanded you can create self
running simulations showing any scene, in any order, at
any stage you and any tempo that you choose. The scenes
will contain all the animations and sounds just as you
placed them. There is also no limit as to the number of
scenes you include in the slide show. As usual we took
this already great feature another major step. The
utility lets you enter messages that show up as pop ups
on the screen to ask questions, describe scenes or as
injects in table top exercises. Also you can save
multiple slide shows or self running simulation
scenarios for each simulation. When you’re ready to run
a scenario, just pick one from the drop down list of
saved scenarios.
A
Built in Photo Editor
We wanted to put as many of the tools necessary to put
together a good simulation in one place so we added a
photo editing utility to the simulator. This utility
lets you edit pictures already imported into the
program.
Save
and Play PowerPoint Presentation in the Simulator
Simulator 6 Expanded gives you the ability to
import Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations directly into
your simulator files that can then be played on other
computers that don’t have PowerPoint installed. Now you
can prepare drills in PowerPoint, build simulations that
practices the skills of the drill and then put them
together in a single file. Anytime while you’re running
the simulation you can play the PowerPoint
Presentation. You can easily move back and forth
between the programs.
